Dr. Ali Mohammadi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Urban Transportation Center at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). He received his Ph.D. in Transportation Planning and Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2021. His research focuses on sustainable transportation systems, travel behavior modeling, and transportation emissions analysis. Using advanced econometric and data-driven methods, his work examines how transportation policies, emerging mobility technologies, and built environment factors influence travel behavior and environmental outcomes. His research interests include electric vehicle adoption, smart on-demand transit systems, transit-oriented development, and strategies to reduce car dependency and support more sustainable urban mobility.
