First Quarter 2019

Transportation Research Board 98th Annual Meeting — January 13-17, 2019

The 98th Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting was held in Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The information-packed program attracted 13,000 transportation professionals from around the world. The TRB Annual Meeting covered all transportation modes, with more than 5,000 presentations in nearly 800 sessions and workshops. National Shared Mobility Summit — March 5-7, 2019

Now in its third year, this event March 5-7 will bring transportation and planning leaders together to discuss the latest developments in carsharing, shared autonomous and electric vehicles, bikesharing, e-hailing, microtransit and more. The Summit is hosted by the Shared Use Mobility Center, which maintains offices in Chicago and Los Angeles. The venue is the Fairmont Hotel.

With roots dating back to 1995, the UIC Urban Forum is a day-long symposium “designed to advance the dialogue about the future of urban communities.” This year, the theme is autonomous vehicles. Registration opens in August.
