Suvin P. Venthuruthiyil, PhD

Suvin P. Venthuruthiyil is currently a post-doctoral research associate at the Urban Transportation Center, University of Illinois Chicago. He has obtained his Ph. D. from the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. His research interests encompass but are not limited to, Traffic Flow Theory and Simulation, Highway Safety Analytics, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Last-Mile Connectivity, and Public Transit Networks. The scholarly contributions of Dr. Suvin have been published in prestigious academic journals such as Transportation Research Part C, Transportmetrica A, Accident Analysis and Prevention, Safety Science, Journal of Safety Research, Transportation Letters, ASCE Journal of Transportation Engineering Part A, and Transport Geography. Before joining UTC, Dr. Suvin was an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. Prior to joining IIT Hyderabad, Dr. Suvin held the role of a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Memphis, USA, in the Department of Civil Engineering. During this phase, his research was primarily centered around cutting-edge areas such as freight logistics, connected autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, and work zone safety. Dr. Suvin is also the founding director of DromoLys Research and Development Pvt. Ltd., a pioneering startup company dedicated to revolutionizing transport systems and infrastructure through innovative research, state-of-the-art technology, and comprehensive solutions. Dr. Suvin also serves as a Graduate Faculty at the University of Memphis, USA.
